At the end of the week, we’ll all be picking our favorites and featuring them for our readers.
Also needing a lot of work. The aqua paint color is kinda in style right now though….. We just found out that we’ll be able to do a walk through the house tomorrow while we’re in town seeing our lawyer, which we did not expect at all.
We’re also going to have some more amazing weather this weekend, so we can’t very well.go to the lake, right?.I’ll be back on Monday with all the updates! Here’s where the story of how we came to live in our house starts.. Well, no, I guess it starts back about a year ago when we decided to leave our life in the big city behind and move our little family of three back to my husband Chris’s hometown.
Then there’s the part where we bought the big ol’ farmhouse out in the country, right near Gramma’s house so our 6-year-old daughter Kennedy can see her everyday if she likes..But now’s the fun part; the part where we move in and get to work tearing apart walls, uncovering history and renovating our own home exactly how we want it, just for us.
It’s about a simpler life, adventures in the country, and creating roots for ourselves and future members of our family.. Come along for the ride!
Definitely take 5 minutes and make up a couple of these to have on hand so you aren’t stuck handing your kid one of those hard lunch box ice packs, or the frozen bag of peas that you were going to have for dinner. When I turn around to come back, the barn always looks so perfect, I just can’t help but take a few photos..
This barn is relatively new compared to the history of the property. The numbers on the front say “1951”..
If ever there was a more perfect setting for a barn than in the middle of a corn field, I have not seen it.. I’m pretty sure I’ve never met a barn I didn’t like, but this one, of course, is my new favorite.. Are you a secret barn addict too?Go ahead, leave me of those wonderful comments and let me know that I’m not a crazy barn stalker!.
